Increased Diversion from Landfill
Beyond the value of compost on the open market, collecting and composting organic materials dramatically increases diversion from landfill. Ever Green diverts collected organic product to facilites with Anaerobic Digestion (AD) equipment. There the organic waste material is converted from waste to energy. Anaerobic Digestion (AD) uses nearly any organic waste as a suitable feedstock. This natural process is harnessed and optimized bringing an environmental and social win. AD captures greenhouse gases for energy,reduces odor from regular composting methods, reduces pathogens and nutrient overloading. The soil amendment compost that remains is an improved quality fertilzer. This is extracting the maximum value from waste.
